Overview

Getting to the Trailhead
The trailhead is located in Mount Robson Provincial Park, about 1.5 hours west of Jasper, Alberta, or 5 hours east of Prince George, British Columbia. Access is via Highway 16 (Yellowhead Highway), turning onto Berg Lake Road, about 88 km west of Jasper or 17 km east of Valemount.

Registration at the Berg Lake Trailhead is mandatory for safety and camping fee purposes. Fees vary based on the season and length of stay.

Trail Itinerary
Day 1: Trailhead to Kinney Lake Campground (7.5 km): A relatively flat trail following the Robson River through forests and meadows, offering views of Mount Robson. The hike to Kinney Lake Campground takes about 2-3 hours.
Day 2: Kinney Lake Campground to Berg Lake Campground (11 km): This challenging segment includes a climb to Berg Lake, passing Emperor Falls. The journey to Berg Lake Campground takes around 6-7 hours.
Day 3: Exploring Berg Lake: Spend the day exploring Berg Lake's trails, enjoy fishing, or relax by the lake.
Day 4: Berg Lake Campground to Trailhead (4.9 km): A downhill hike back to the trailhead following the Robson River, taking about 1-2 hours.
